The Modern Commodity Market
The commodity markets have their roots in the trade in agricultural products. About 40% of commodities trading were conducted on U.S. exchanges. Trading on the stock exchanges in India and China has increased in importance in the last few years. In the United States the main regulator of commodity and futures markets, is the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
